Advocating for women's cause on the intl stage

Olympic champion, International Olympic Committee member, and United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) Goodwill Ambassador Yang Yang shared her insights after attending the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women.

"Sitting in the hall and hearing discussions about the Beijing Declaration and the Platform for Action, adopted three decades ago, was an amazing experience," said Yang Yang.

She emphasized that change does not occur naturally, especially when it comes to shifting mindsets, addressing biases, and ensuring that vulnerable groups receive the attention they deserve. Yang expressed that she felt deeply honored to contribute to advancing the global cause for women.
