JERUSALEM -- Four more bodies of hostages were in the custody of Israeli forces in Gaza after Hamas handed them over to the International Committee of the Red Cross on Tuesday night, the Israeli military and the Shin Bet security agency said in a joint statement.
The handover followed a similar transfer on Monday, when Hamas returned the bodies of four hostages along with all 20 surviving captives as part of a ceasefire agreement under which Israel released about 2,000 Palestinian detainees and prisoners.
Israel said about 20 more hostage bodies remain in Gaza and demanded that Hamas release them too.
