The International Monetary Fund released its World Economic Outlook on Tuesday morning in Washington. The IMF raised its forecast for China's economic growth next year to 4.8 percent, 0.3 percentage point higher than its projection a year ago. The IMF said stronger-than-expected performance in recent quarters — driven by fiscal expansion, steady domestic consumption and front-loaded trade activity — has helped offset the impact of higher tariffs and ongoing uncertainty.
