3 injured in Germany's Giessen market shooting

BERLIN -- Three people were injured on Saturday afternoon after gunfire broke out in the city of Giessen, central Germany's Hesse state, local media reported, citing a police source.
The shooting occurred shortly after 3 pm (1300 GMT) inside a betting shop in the downtown area, according to Germany's news agency dpa.
The gunman fled on foot and remains at large. Police said they are searching for the suspect but do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
No information has yet been disclosed about the condition of the injured. Both the identity of the suspect and the motive of the attack remain unclear as investigations continue.
