China slams US export controls and long-arm jurisdiction

China on Friday firmly opposed the United States' abuse of export control measures and long-arm jurisdiction, pledging to take necessary measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of its businesses, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
The US Department of Commerce announced on Wednesday the addition of several Chinese entities to its export control entity list, a ministry spokesperson said, adding that the US has been overstretching the concept of national security and imposing sweeping sanctions on multiple entities, including Chinese companies.
The commerce official reiterated that such actions undermine the legitimate rights and interests of businesses and disrupt the security and stability of global industrial and supply chains.
