Guangdong railways set passenger record during National Day holiday

On Oct 4, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway transported 134,000 cross-border travelers, a 40 percent increase compared to the previous year, with passengers mainly traveling between Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong West Kowloon.
To handle the large passenger volume, the railway group maximized transportation potential by adding extra trains, connecting multiple train units, operating circular routes, increasing nighttime high-speed trains on peak days, and attaching additional carriages to regular trains.
