Mandarin a 'sought-after' language in UK schools: British Council official

At the recent award ceremony of the 2025 "Chinese Bridge" Mandarin Competition for UK primary and secondary schools in London, Ralph Rogers, regional head of China at the British Council, said Mandarin has become one of the most sought-after languages in UK schools. "By choosing to study Chinese, you are investing not only in your own futures, but also in the UK's ability to engage confidently with the world," he said.
