Technological and service innovations are taking center stage at the 2025 International Airport Expo and the 10th China Airport Service Conference.

The latest achievements have been highlighted in the exhibition areas featuring airport service innovation products, civil aviation professional equipment, civil aviation engineering technology, aviation tourism culture and sports integration, and airport area economy.

Exhibits include digital twin airport platforms, smart airport 3D visualization solutions, AI-powered flight scheduling systems, smart luggage tracking technologies, smart VIP lounges, runway robots, electric aircraft tugs, and smart warehousing equipment.

The 10-year assessment of Chinese airports' service quality has been fruitful, with several group standards widely recognized in the industry, said Wang Ruiping, chairwoman of the China Civil Airports Association.

"The association will continue focusing on service quality and branding, while leveraging innovation to contribute global insights from Chinese expertise," she said.

Girum Abebe Hayleselase, Ethiopian Airlines' country director for China, said, "We have high expectations for this expo, especially because of its comprehensive scope. It brings together major airports, airlines, construction companies, equipment suppliers, and service providers, creating a fully integrated industry ecosystem.

"With plans to build a new airport in Ethiopia, we aim to learn from China's experience in airport design, construction, operation and management. We also look forward to identifying partners for collaboration on what will become one of Africa's largest and most modern aviation facilities."

Global air and rail digital travel provider Joyful Journey Group has displayed its brand Joyful Journey Priority Pass, jointly developed with Collinson Group, owner and operator of the world's first and leading airport experiences program, Priority Pass.

"It is our mission to promote globally the model, innovation, and technology practiced in China. We are confident our travel solution can help international hubs, airlines, and railway operators increase efficiency and enhance the travel experience," said Alice Zhang, chief marketing officer of Joyful Journey Group.
