Over 50 shows across China celebrate Teachers' Day

To honor educators on China's Teachers' Day Wednesday, CPAA Theatres across China orchestrated a large-scale cultural program that featured over 50 performances and nearly 10 artistic activities in more than ten theaters.
The nationwide events, which took place in cities like Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Chengdu, included free admission, ticket discounts, and interactive experiences for teachers, showing the nation's gratitude for their contributions.
The program featured a diverse range of artistic events, from large-scale stage productions to concerts and children's plays. In Guangzhou, teachers received discounts on a dance drama about Confucius, while Shanghai offered complimentary tickets to a piano concert and a Shakespeare performance.
The spirit of appreciation was shared in other cities as well: Quanzhou gave away 100 tickets to a dance production, and Dezhou hosted more than 500 teachers for a free classical opera concert. Foshan set aside 100 tickets for a Spanish flamenco performance, making high-quality international art accessible to educators.
In addition to performances, the theaters organized interactive experiences to directly engage teachers. In Guangzhou, a "blessing wall" and student flash performances created a warm, festive atmosphere. Dezhou provided a hands-on traditional textile workshop, and in Urumqi, a renowned violin professor hosted an open lecture and masterclass, offering teachers a chance to deepen their artistic knowledge. Other benefits included ticket upgrades, family discounts, and access to immersive exhibitions, further highlighting the deep respect for educators.
By uniting theaters nationwide, CPAA theatres established a comprehensive platform to honor educators, promote cultural appreciation, and connect art with daily life.
The initiative transformed Teachers' Day into a collective celebration of gratitude and creativity, recognizing the vital role teachers play in shaping future generations.
