China's Foreign Ministry announced on Monday countermeasures against Japanese lawmaker Seki Hei for seriously meddling in China's internal affairs and damaging its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The ministry said SeKi has been repeatedly making false claims on the Taiwan question, the Diaoyu Islands, history and issues related to Xinjiang, Xizang, and Hong Kong. Seki also openly visited the Yasukuni Shrine.

All those actions severely violate the spirit of the four political documents between China and Japan, as well as the one-China principle, according to a press release by the ministry.

In accordance with the anti-foreign sanctions law, China has decided to take countermeasures against Seki, with all steps taking effect immediately on Monday, the ministry said.

All of Seki's movable and immovable properties, as well as other assets within China, will be frozen and organizations and individuals in China are banned from engaging in any dealings or cooperation with him.

Seki and his immediate family members will be denied visas and entry into China, including Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region, according to the ministry.
