1 hospitalized in Britain's helicopter crash: local media

LONDON -- A helicopter with four people on board crashed Monday morning in a field on the Isle of Wight, Britain, local media reported. One person was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
Police said emergency services were called to the scene at 09:24 local time (0824 GMT). The crash occurred near Shanklin, and one patient was flown to the Major Trauma Centre at University Hospital Southampton, according to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
The Sky News reported that the helicopter had been operating as a pleasure flight at the time of the crash.
