The story of this transformation began in the early 2000s when Zhou's father leased a large piece of land to start a stone mining business. Despite the initial economic benefits, years of excessive mining led to significant environmental degradation. Recognizing the need for change, Zhou's father shut down the quarry in 2016 and initiated a green restoration project, gradually transforming the location into a sustainable and thriving business.

The initiative was part of a broader effort by the Chongqing Ecology and Environment Bureau, which has restored 7,025 hectares of historically abandoned and closed mines.
