Karol Nawrocki sworn in as president of Poland

WARSAW -- Karol Nawrocki was sworn in as president of the Republic of Poland on Wednesday after delivering his inaugural address, formally beginning his five-year term.
In the address, Nawrocki announced that his administration would focus on a program of balanced and sustainable development for Poland, known as Plan 21.
He pledged to make Poland a country of transformative projects, including advancing the Central Communication Port, which involves building a new international airport, as well as the development of national highways and ports.
He declared a firm stance against illegal migration and the adoption of the euro in Poland and reaffirmed his opposition to raising the retirement age.
Later on Wednesday, Nawrocki will participate in further inauguration ceremonies, including a midday mass at St. John's Archcathedral and a public appearance in front of the Presidential Palace.
