In celebration of World Tiger Day on Tuesday, Locajoy Theme Park in Chongqing's Yongchuan district showcased its diverse tiger population to the public.

According to the park, it boasts a variety of tiger subspecies and variants, including Bengal tigers, golden tigers, silver tigers, and white tigers. Among them, golden and silver tigers are extremely rare genetic mutations within the Bengal tiger species, with a scarce global population. White tigers are popular for their unique snow-white fur.

Since October last year, the park's animal nursery has welcomed visitors to observe the growth and development of artificially reared animal cubs through glass enclosures. A silver tiger cub and a white tiger cub were taken in by the caretakers a month ago after being abandoned by their mothers.

The global wild tiger population continues to face challenges from habitat loss and poaching. World Tiger Day raises awareness and draws attention to the pressing survival crisis confronting these majestic creatures.
