Smart SAIC Audi saloon offers the best of both worlds
The all-new SAIC Audi A5L Sportback, the first hybrid gasoline-powered vehicle equipped with Huawei's Qiankun technology, will officially hit the market on Friday.
The new model is being positioned as an intelligent premium vehicle that appeals to younger consumers who prioritize advanced technology.
In the intelligent premium automotive segment, the SAIC Audi A5L Sportback redefines standards through three core advantages.
In terms of design, the vehicle carries forward the iconic fastback silhouette and frameless door design of the Audi A5 series.
Measuring 4,903 millimeters in length, 1,883 mm in width, and 1,427 mm in height, plus a wheelbase of 2,922 mm, it adheres to the series' traditional 0.59 axle-length ratio. It offers a sporty coupe-like exterior and a spacious, comfortable interior.
Supported by the all-new E³ 1.2 electronic architecture based on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), the vehicle achieves advanced driver-assistance capabilities comparable to electric vehicles, including urban navigation and memory parking assistance.
Regarding driving performance, the Sportback continues Audi's authentic sports lineage.
Equipped with the fifth-generation EA888 engine, the model delivers a total power output of 200 kilowatts and peak torque of 400 Newton meters, achieving a 0-100 kilometers per hour acceleration in just 5.6 seconds.
The model also features the upgraded Quattro all-wheel-drive system and mild hybrid electric system, enabling purely electric driving at speeds below 25 km/h.
With its design heritage and innovation, cutting-edge intelligent technology, and precision handling, the all-new SAIC Audi A5L Sportback offers the classic driving pleasure expected by traditional gasoline car enthusiasts, while delivering a smart driving experience for tech enthusiasts.
This enhances SAIC Audi's brand identity as youthful, technological, and premium, while setting a new standard in the intelligent premium gasoline vehicle market, according to the automaker.
