BEIJING -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 jolted 143 km ESE of Severo-Kuril'sk, Russia at 1447 GMT on Wednesday, the US Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 49.99 degrees north latitude and 157.83 degrees east longitude.
