Chinese technology aids Brazil's energy transition

Anne Louise de Amorim, Environmental, Social, and Governance Manager at State Grid Brazil Holding, said at the Second China-LAC Human Rights Roundtable that Chinese enterprises are helping Brazil integrate renewable energy through ultra-high-voltage direct current (UHVDC) transmission technology, enhancing energy security and advancing the green transition.
The roundtable brought together over 130 officials, experts, and scholars in the field of human rights from 20 countries including China and Latin American and Caribbean countries. Participants discussed topics such as human rights protection in the digital and intelligent era, the intersection of environment, climate, and human rights, as well as the contributions of China and Latin America to global human rights governance.
