China, Peru boost cooperation through smart city exchanges


An exchange and matchmaking event focused on promoting cooperation in fields like digital economy, science and technology, industry and investment between China and Peru was successfully held by Beijing Shichuang Yida Technology Services Co Ltd and China Centre for Promotion of SME Development.
The event concentrated on Peru's smart city development, addressing topics like infrastructure, digital transformation of government services and improvement of digital technologies, aiming to build a platform for in-depth exchanges and practical cooperation between the two countries.
More than 30 representatives from Peruvian government departments and enterprises, as well as six companies from Zhongguancun No 1, a scientific and technological innovation industrial park in Haidian district, Beijing, participated in the event.
Authorities from Peru presented their planning blueprint, cooperation needs and favorable policy measures for the country's smart city construction, expressing a desire for in-depth discussions and close cooperation with China.
Six Chinese companies showcased their innovative products, technical services and solutions in the fields of artificial intelligence and aerospace technology. Representatives from the two sides also engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on core topics such as development demands, potential cooperation models and implementation pathways.
The matchmaking event serves as an important service initiative taken by Zhongguancun No 1 to assist enterprises in expanding their presence in overseas markets, and a practical action to deepen digital economy cooperation between China and Peru.
The industrial park will continue to focus on global scientific and technological innovation and industrial cooperation, working alongside all parties to build a high-level international exchange platform and help enterprises boost their global footprint.
