'Dream of Xitang' sets sail for night parade
Drawing from iconic cultural sources such as the Yue opera classics The Butterfly Lovers and Wu Guniang (Fifth Young Lady), the hit IP The Lost Tomb, and the elegance of hanfu attire, the parade offers a dreamlike journey across parallel worlds, where tradition meets imagination.
Beyond the nighttime spectacle, the event also features a wide range of daytime cultural experiences. Throughout the town, visitors can explore themed pop-up spots like Fangshan Tea House and the Gu Xidong Theatre Art Museum.
Every day at 10 am, 3 pm, and 6:30 pm, traditional vendor boats appear on the canals, offering snacks and ice treats. Tourists can wave down the boats for a closer look, savoring local specialties while immersing themselves in the sights and sounds of the water town.
