Railway workers' safety in focus
To battle the high temperatures sweeping North China of late, railway operators have taken multipronged measures to ensure on-site safety of employees. China Railway Taiyuan Group tailor-made anti-heatstroke packages to help employees stay safe and cool. Its Wan'an Railway Station under Jiexiu Traffic Section organized special service teams to distribute preventive items such as cooling fluids for outdoor workers, as well as making ice cream and ice-cold beverages available for those battling scorching heat. Boosted by the measures, operators have been able to carry out every procedure with meticulous precision to ensure safe rail transport.
