Chinese robotics startup Robotera, backed by Tsinghua University, has officially launched its next-generation full-sized humanoid robot, the ROBOTERA L7. Standing at 171 cm tall, the bipedal robot can simultaneously achieve high-dynamic movement and fine manipulation – capable of both "showy feats" and practical tasks.

Showcasing a wide range of capabilities, the L7 can perform high-dynamic maneuvers like explosive 360-degree spins and breakdancing moves, while also handling practical industrial functions such as sorting, scanning, and screw-driving in logistics and factory settings. Furthermore, it demonstrates delicate "soft skills" like tearing paper towels and pulling curtains.

Overcoming the significant engineering challenge of "technical difficulty doubles with every ten centimeters of height", Robotera said the L7 achieves a "dual breakthrough" with its combined "body plus brain" architecture. This ensures the full-sized bipedal robot is capable of both large-scale motion and intricate manipulation.

Highlighting the company's rapid commercial growth fueled by its technological advancements, Robotera revealed that, so far it has shipped 200 humanoid robots shipped in 2025, with over one hundred orders currently in progress. The company also said nine out of the world's top ten most valuable tech companies are its customers, and it is also a leading choice in the global developer market, supporting research at institutions like MIT and ByteDance's robotics labs.
