Oilfield reports oil, gas production rises in H1
Daqing Oilfield, one of China's largest energy production bases, reported rises in both crude oil and natural gas production in the first half. The oilfield's domestic crude oil output increased by 10,900 metric tons year-on-year, while its natural gas production rose by 222 million cubic meters. In recent years, Daqing Oilfield has been actively exploring new approaches to green transition. In the first six months, its new energy projects achieved an operational capacity of 538,700 kilowatts and generated 554 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, fulfilling 52 percent of the annual target.
Railway protocols for rainy season
Chinese railway operators have taken timely measures to reinforce safety protocols for train operations during the flood season. China Railway Taiyuan Group has launched a special flood-season overhaul of its in-service locomotives. Staff members from its Houma North Locomotive Depot intensified work focused on inspecting and repairing roof-mounted high-voltage electrical equipment, roof-hatch interfaces, windshield wipers and other critical components, so as to boost smooth rail transport during rainy days.
