China's A-share market closed higher on Tuesday, led by gains in electronic components, communication equipment and photovoltaic sectors, despite new US tariff threats against its trading partners.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.7 percent to close at 3,497.48 points, while the ChiNext Index — tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises — surged 2.39 percent to finish at 2,181.08 points.
