China and Germany to prepare for high-level exchanges

China and Germany agreed to prepare for high-level exchanges in the next stage and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation to promote the sustained, healthy, and stable development of their ties.
The consensus was reached during Foreign Minister Wang Yi's meeting with Foreign and Security Policy Advisor to the German Chancellor Gunter Sautter in Berlin on Friday.
Both sides expressed high regard for the China-Germany comprehensive strategic partnership and spoke positively of the increasingly mature and stable bilateral relations.
They agreed to leverage mechanisms such as intergovernmental consultations and strategic dialogues to enhance strategic communication, foster mutual understanding and properly handle differences with a constructive attitude.
Wang noted that China-Germany relations transcend the bilateral scope and expressed hope that Germany would play a constructive role in the European Union to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of both sides and jointly address challenges.
