China Eastern Airlines offers special arrangements for tickets to Mideast and West Asia

Shanghai-based China Eastern Airlines announced on Wednesday that tickets for the Middle East and West Asia will receive special arrangements due to safety concerns, becoming the first Chinese carrier to do so.

Passengers who have purchased tickets involving destinations including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Cairo, and Istanbul will receive special arrangements for their tickets, and the carrier will provide assistance with their travel plans, said a notice from the carrier.

The decision is based on the security situation in the Middle East and West Asia, and tickets between June 24 and June 30 can get refunded or changed within the validity period of the ticket, said the airline.

China Eastern will keep a close eye on the region's condition to ensure relevant flight's safe and orderly operation, therefore limiting the impact on passengers' travel.
