China-CEEC Culture & Arts Carnival lights up summer in Beijing
The 4th China-CEEC Culture & Arts Carnival opened on Friday at the Shougang International Convention and Exhibition Center in Beijing's Shijingshan district.
Under the theme of "Sizzling Summer Solstice", the event brought together cross-disciplinary performances and immersive intangible cultural heritage experiences from China and Central and Eastern European countries, serving as a platform for international artistic and cultural exchange, as well as showcasing Beijing's rich historical and cultural appeal.
More than 100 guests and artists from countries including China, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia and Bulgaria attended Friday's opening. As the sun set over Shougang Park, global artists took to the stage, presenting a feast for the eyes and ears with performances that reflected the artistic traditions of their home countries.
