Huawei Technologies Co said it plans to hire more than 10,000 university graduates in 2025, a double-digit increase compared to 2024, with over 60 types of positions, including artificial intelligence engineers, software development engineers, hardware engineers and AI algorithm engineers.

Huawei said it is doubling down on efforts to nurture and recruit high-end talents in key fields such as AI, large language models, high-performance computing, and ecosystem development. Additionally, the company has launched internship programs spanning research and development, testing, cutting-edge technology exploration, and finance, aiming to nurture over 5,000 future talents this year and bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Huawei said its proactive talent strategy is designed to build a diverse recruitment ecosystem, combining innovative training mechanisms and open collaboration platforms to drive high-quality employment.

Through its internal talent empowerment program, Huawei provides multi-tiered training systems and personalized career paths, enabling employees to continuously push their boundaries. In 2024 alone, nearly 10,000 employees underwent upskilling and role transitions through internal programs, fueling the company's rapid business growth.

A standout feature of Huawei's talent strategy is its open innovation ecosystem. Through initiatives like HarmonyOS, Kunpeng, and Ascend, Huawei has partnered with over 100 universities and numerous industry players in China. The company's developer community has now surpassed 10 million members, while its ecosystem has created millions of job opportunities across the tech industry, Huawei said.
