China doesn't adopt any "ambiguity or double standards" in its fight against terrorism, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said on Friday, rebuking the recent remarks of the Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

In an interview with Le Figaro, Jaishankar accused China of practicing "ambiguity or double standards" over the issue of terrorism, according to an English translation of the interview released by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.

"Terrorism is a common enemy for all humanity. It's a shared responsibility of the international community to crack down on terrorism," Lin said.

"China stays committed to maintaining international and regional peace, and combats all forms of terrorism firmly," Lin said.

Noting that China-India relations are at a critical stage of improvement, Lin said he hopes India will work with China to advance the sound and steady development of bilateral ties.
