A breathtaking scene unfolded in Ailun Bay, Rongcheng, Shandong province, on Friday, as flocks of seagulls soared above the waters over local fishermen harvesting seaweed from thriving aquaculture zones, showcasing a perfect harmony between humans and nature.

Renowned for its pristine water quality and abundant marine resources, Ailun Bay has become a vital habitat for seabirds and a key base for sustainable marine farming. In recent years, Rongcheng has adhered to an eco-first development strategy, enhancing marine ecological protection and promoting green fisheries.

Thanks to these efforts, the bay now yields bountiful seaweed and shellfish while attracting increasing numbers of migratory birds, including seagulls and egrets, creating a unique coastal ecosystem.
