7 killed as bridges collapse in 'blasts'
The collapse of two bridges in Russian regions bordering Ukraine that killed seven people were caused by explosions, officials said on Sunday. In the Bryansk region, a blast caused a road bridge to collapse onto a railway line on Saturday night, derailing a train carrying 388 passengers to Moscow and killing seven people, authorities said. A rail bridge in the neighboring Kursk region was blown up just hours later, derailing a freight train and injuring the driver. Russia's Investigative Committee said the incidents had been "classified as acts of terrorism", without elaborating.
