State Grid Dancheng County Power Supply Company inspected farmland in the city of Zhoukou on May 25 to ensure the "three summer jobs" - planting, harvesting, and field management, were all carried out without a hitch.

"There is a tower in this wheat field. Please pay attention to safety when harvesting to avoid the combine harvester knocking down the tower and causing electrical accidents," a staff member from the company told a farmer when inspecting his field.

The company established a special team, developed customized power protection plans and organized maintenance personnel to inspect 10-kilovolt distribution lines, transformers and other equipment.

The team carried out a human-drone collaborative inspection and used infrared temperature measurement and other means to monitor conductor joints and switch contacts. They also posted warning signs on poles and wires in the fields and added anti-collision warning signs, in a bid to reduce the impact of agricultural machinery operations on power facilities and ensure the smooth operation of the power supply.

To meet the temporary surge in electricity needs of farmers, the company opened a green channel for power installation, simplified the application process and assigned dedicated personnel for follow-ups. They organized Communist Party member service teams and volunteers to visit fields and provide one-on-one assistance. They also inspected harvesters, dryers and irrigation equipment for farmers, grain drying enterprises and cooperatives, to ensure the proper operation of agricultural machinery.

During the wheat harvest season, the company is implementing a 24-hour emergency duty system, with six emergency repair teams on standby at all times. They are equipped with repair vehicles and emergency supplies. Upon receiving reports of electrical faults, repair personnel will respond promptly, rush to the scene and make every effort to shorten the duration of power outages.

The company has organized more than 150 employees to visit the power supply area, and eliminated more than 20 hidden risks in line equipment, added 18 warning signs and distributed more than 800 copies of safety electricity usage leaflets, ensuring a reliable, satisfactory and safe power supply for the "three summer jobs".
