Shanghai upgrades power business environment


The State Grid Shanghai has released its latest measures to optimize the city's power business environment and create a new benchmark.
Composed of the four initials of free, rapid, easy and excellent, FREE 8.0, released by the State Grid Shanghai Municipal Electric Power Co on May 22, is the company's eighth version of new business optimizing measures, highlighting fresh efforts to create a world-class power business environment and safeguard Shanghai's high-quality development to a higher level.
The State Grid Shanghai was among the exemplary cases of improving business environment across the country included in the report by the National Development and Reform Commission on April 30, highlighting continuous efforts in improving its electricity and power supply reliability.

The company's latest measures consist of 15 specific policies in enhancing convenience, efficiency, cost effectiveness, as well as nine policies in serving customers' needs throughout the power service life cycle. The 24 items of service measures cover enterprises' all-around service experience related to power supply.
The State Grid Shanghai has also signed contracts with a number of enterprises to guarantee same day power supply services. "The contracts follow the principle of being market-oriented, law-based, with clear procedures and schedule, enterprises can fully focus on their production and operation, without worrying about power supply, therefore promoting companies' rapid development," said Gu Hao, deputy director of State Grid Shanghai's marketing division.
