ACFTA 3.0 will redefine economic ties between ASEAN and China

The forthcoming signing of the ACFTA Upgrade Protocol or ACFTA 3.0 in 2025 will "redefine economic ties between ASEAN and China through enhanced innovation, productivity, and competitiveness," said Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN at the 2025 RCEP Media & Think Tank Forum on May 25. He stated that ACFTA 3.0 and RCEP function as complementary frameworks, offering mutually reinforcing pathways for businesses throughout our regions.
