Action plan eyes greener manufacturing sector

China adopted an action plan on Friday for the green and low-carbon development of its manufacturing sector from 2025 to 2027.

The State Council executive meeting chaired by Premier Li Qiang emphasized the need to expedite green technological innovation and the widespread application of advanced eco-friendly techniques.

To facilitate the green transition of China's traditional industries, large-scale equipment upgrade programs should be leveraged to enable the adoption of cutting-edge machinery and technologies.

Accelerating the uptake of clean energy and green products, as well as improving resource recycling, is among key priorities to shape the green trajectory of the country's emerging industries.
