Exhibition showcases beauty of Chinese jewelry art in Germany

The first collective international debut of Chinese jewelry art in Germany recently took place in the city of Pforzheim.

Named Lin Lang — The Chinese Story of Jewellery Art, the exhibition reflected China's 30-year educational heritage and cultural confidence in jewelry art. As such, it represents a landmark "cultural outreach" initiative for Chinese jewelry art.

"The 'Lin Lang' touring exhibition not only conveys China's narratives through its works but also constructs a bridge for cultural dialogue between China and Germany," said Cultural Counselor Liwen Tang of the Chinese consulate general in Frankfurt.

"Through this exhibition, we firmly believe that friends in Germany and beyond will gain a deeper insight into China's artistic landscape and resonate with its cultural ethos of openness and inclusivity," Tang said.

By showcasing contemporary jewelry art, Chinese jewelry brand Chow Tai Fook Jewellery, the exhibition's co-host, also aims to foster cross-cultural dialogue, strengthen international friendships, and share China's traditional craftsmanship and cultural essence with the global community.

"Through jewelry, a universal language, we seek to bridge cultural divides and illuminate China's artistic splendor to the world," said Alan Chan, chief brand officer of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group.

Launched on March 10, 2025, the exhibition has showcased works at the Munich Galerie Shanghai and the FRAME Special Exhibition Unit at the Munich Bavarian Handicraft and Design Fair, leading to its third stop at the SCHÜTT Exhibition Hall in Pforzheim.
