State Grid Zhenjiang Power Supply Company sets up a 'charging pile intelligent decision-making' system to assist green travel during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday

On May 20, at the charging pile application and installation site in a housing estate in Zhenjiang city, East China's Jiangsu province, State Grid Zhenjiang Power Supply Company used the "charging pile intelligent decision-making" system to complete the charging pile installation and power connection service for a homeowner surnamed Li in just 2.5 days, reducing the original average time by 51.8 percent.
In the past, charging pile applications and installations required users to go back and forth between the property management and the power supply offices to complete procedures. Staff members would then come to measure the distance related to the parking space, manually create a power connection path map and in some cases, the single survey time for complex parking situations in communities exceeded three days.
The "charging pile intelligent decision-making" system could directly import the community's parking layout map, accurately identify the distribution of parking spaces through algorithms, and combine it with the location of the community's electric boxes, automatically generate the optimal power connection path. The survey efficiency increases by 2.4 times, with a 67 percent rise in application and installation efficiency for individual households.
Since the system was put into operation, it has integrated three-dimensional data from 38 local communities with 62,000 parking spaces, completed charging pile installations for 4,170 households, and reduced the average processing time to 3.2 days. Before the Dragon Boat Festival holiday (May 31 to June 2), the system's functions were expected to further improve to ensure that owners of new energy vehicles enjoy "rapid installation and worry-free charging" services, supporting green travel during the holiday.
