Cotti Coffee, a top-tier Chinese brand in the ready-made coffee space with significant influence at home and abroad, is intensifying efforts to help Chinese flavors gain more international prominence.

Currently, adhering to a brand motto "Great coffee starts with great ingredients," Cotti Coffee is operating over 13,000 outlets globally, ranking fourth worldwide and spanning 28 countries and regions.

Recently, Cotti Coffee inked a strategic cooperation agreement with the municipal government of Lincang in Southwest China's Yunnan province, designating Lincang as a core base for its domestic coffee cultivation, fruit processing, and deep processing, and centering on a concept of full-industry-chain development of the coffee sector.

Experts say China's coffee industry brims with potential, with Yunnan's coffee industry output value soaring to 80 billion yuan ($11.26 billion) from under 1 billion yuan, bolstering income for over 1 million coffee farmers and making coffee a hallmark of Yunnan's industrial growth.

Market analysis indicates that Yunnan's coffee premiumization strategy aligns closely with Cotti Coffee's high-quality coffee philosophy and nowadays, more and more brands incorporate Yunnan coffee beans, particularly those from Lincang, into their high-end product lines.

Catering to the coffee needs of clients, Cotti Coffee carefully selects 100 percent Arabica coffee beans from the finest regions, including Ethiopia, Colombia, Brazil, Guatemala and Yunnan, China, and efficiently meets market demands via its global supply-chain base in Anhui province.

Since its establishment in October 2022, Cotti Coffee has embarked on building a global supply chain base, with its domestic base stationed in Dangtu county under Ma'anshan in Anhui, while its international one is located in Wuhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone.

It has been learned that Lincang enjoys international acclaim for its premium coffee beans and unique plantation economic model, with its specialty coffee beans being hailed as a synonym for "Chinese flavors."

Experts say that as the coffee market matures and global demand for high-quality coffee grows, Yunnan's coffee industry premiumization prospects look promising, and Cotti Coffee's industrial layout in Yunnan becomes increasingly extensive and profound. Teaming up with Lincang marks a key step for Cotti Coffee in deepening its industrial chain deployment.

It has been learned that based on Lincang's characteristic industrial development model, Cotti Coffee will establish its own planting bases and specialty plantations, building an integrated industrial park there, encompassing coffee husking processing, product R&D, roasting, packaging, storage, logistics, and cultural experiences.

"Relying on Cotti Coffee's robust supply chain, products will be efficiently shipped to global stores, helping Chinese flavors gain international prominence," said an executive from Cotti Coffee.

He stressed that the coffee sector not only boasts international business capabilities, but also holds great significance for local industrial growth and rural vitalization.

Through a "brand enterprise + cooperative + village collective" model, the market demand from over 13,000 coffee stores will encourage local farmers' participation in industrial development, he said.

Moreover, Cotti Coffee will join hands with Lincang to cultivate specialty agricultural product brands in coffee, tea, walnuts, nuts, sugarcane and fruits, helping drive a full-chain upgrade of rural industries and transform rural resources, ecological, and cultural advantages into product, brand and industrial strengths.
