Guizhou's badminton rackets blaze expanding market

In a badminton racket production workshop in Guizhou province, workers operate machinery as rackets glide steadily along the assembly line. These crafted products are bound for sports markets at home and abroad.
"This year, our company has seen a 30 percent year-on-year growth in incoming orders, with 450,000 rackets produced in the first quarter alone," said Lin Xun, chairman of Suiyang Tesikai Sports Goods. "Our products are in high demand, with major sales in Shanghai, Fujian, and Zhejiang provinces, as well as international markets, including South Korea, Malaysia, and Brazil."
Thanks to advanced technology and strict quality control, the company now produces up to 150,000 high-quality badminton rackets monthly, bringing its annual production capacity to 1.8 million rackets.
Through eight self-developed process innovations, the product qualification rate has risen from 80 to 95 percent, while the production time of a single racket has been cut by 40 percent. With the help of intelligent systems, quality inspections have also sped up, boosting testing capacity from 200 to 600 rackets per hour, according to the company.
