Dalian flower festival blooms

The 34th Dalian Acacia Flowers Festival kicked off on Saturday in Dalian, Liaoning province, as a highlight of the northeastern coastal city's "international open month" in 2025.

The one-week festival features over 60 exchange activities across eight major sectors, including culture and commerce.

"Dalian is currently accelerating the construction of a high-level open gateway hub connecting domestically and internationally, as well as an international coastal tourism destination that is livable, business-friendly, and enjoyable," said Chen Shaowang, mayor of Dalian, in his welcome speech.
