‌China hopes UK will adopt objective China perception

China on Friday expressed the hope that the United Kingdom will adopt an objective China perception, establish sound policy guidance, and foster a favorable atmosphere for the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations, as the UK is expected to release its China policy audit report in early June.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian made the remarks at a regular press conference in response to a question regarding the upcoming UK audit report on China relations.

As permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and major global economies, China and the UK share fundamental and long-term interests in enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation amid growing global challenges -- a partnership that also benefits world peace and development, Lin said.
