Currently, unmanned mining trucks operate at 90 percent of human-driven efficiency, with daily effective working hours extended from 19 to 21 hours. The industry has also overcome technical barriers to achieve stable performance in high-altitude, cold regions and water-rich, soft rock conditions. With all 135 trucks in full operation, 325 drivers will be phased out, resulting in approximately 4 million yuan in monthly labor cost savings, which will drive the industry's shift toward digital-intelligent transformation.

The stable operation of these unmanned trucks is enabled by 5G communication. In high-altitude cold regions with complex geological conditions, autonomous driving enhances equipment safety, minimizes human intervention in harsh environments, reduces labor costs, improves working conditions, and lowers accident risks, delivering substantial economic and social benefits.
