Delegation's Morocco visit helps cement relationship

At the invitation of the National Rally of Independents of Morocco, Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, led a CPC delegation to visit Morocco from Monday to Wednesday in a bid to promote the countries' ties.
During the visit, Li, who is also head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, held separate meetings with senior officials of the North African country, including Aziz Akhannouch, Moroccan prime minister and head of the NRI, and Rachid Talbi El Alami, speaker of the House of Representatives. During the meetings, Li emphasized that China-Morocco relations are at their best in history.
China is willing to work with Morocco to implement the important consensuses reached by the two heads of state, strengthen political mutual trust, deepen strategic coordination, enhance multilateral cooperation, and advocate an equal and orderly multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization, he said.
He called on both countries to promote the high-quality development of the Belt and Road to deliver more benefits to the two peoples.
The CPC is willing to deepen exchanges with friendly political parties in Morocco on governance experiences and further boost the development of the China-Morocco strategic partnership through party-to-party exchanges, Li added.
The Moroccan officials expressed the country's willingness to further deepen pragmatic cooperation with China in areas such as infrastructure, new energy and investment, and strengthen exchanges at all levels.
Morocco's political parties want to engage in dialogue with the CPC to better promote the development of bilateral ties, they said.
