Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China and Mexico should stay committed to practicing multilateralism, opposing unilateral actions, safeguarding free trade rules, and promoting an equal and orderly multipolar world and an inclusive economic globalization that benefits all.

He made the remarks during a meeting with Mexican Foreign Minister Juan Ramon de la Fuente on Wednesday.

Wang also applauded Mexico's pivotal role in advancing China-Latin America and the Caribbean cooperation.

He highlighted that China is willing to work with Mexico to consolidate strategic mutual trust, deepen cooperation across various fields, and accelerate development and revitalization.

China will further open its market to high-quality Mexican products and encourage Chinese enterprises to invest in Mexico, Wang said, expressing confidence in Mexico's provision of a stable, business-friendly environment.

The Mexican diplomat congratulated China on hosting a successful ministerial meeting of the China-the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States Forum, expecting a brighter decade of China-LAC cooperation.

He reaffirmed Mexico's adherence to the one-China principle and willingness to enhance cooperation in fields including connectivity, science and technology, agriculture, tourism, and direct flights with China.
