"Compared with traditional coal-based granular and extruded activated carbon, fruit-shell carbon is more environmentally friendly and requires fewer processing steps," said Tian Hairui, director of the shell-carbon division. "We save over 200,000 yuan each month on electricity and other costs, and we've increased our value added by more than 2,000 yuan per ton".

Fruit-shell activated carbon has become so popular that the company has sold over 1,000 tons across China and exported shipments to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, where it has become a sought-after commodity in the global environmental sector.
