OTTAWA -- The Liberal Party of Canada gained one more seat after a judicial recount on Saturday, sitting at 170 seats in the House of Commons currently, just two shy of a majority government.

Elections Canada adjusted the voting results for the electoral district of Terrebonne on its website after the recount on Saturday. The Liberal candidate won by just a single vote.

Previously, incumbent Bloc Quebecois' Nathalie Sinclair-Desgagne beat Liberal's Tatiana Auguste by 44 votes. After the recount, Auguste received 23,352 votes while Sinclair-Desgagne received 23,351 votes.

Elections Canada said the results were certified by a judge.

The Canada Elections Act requires a judicial recount, supervised by a superior court judge, to be conducted in any riding where the difference in votes between the top two candidates is less than 0.1 percent of the total votes cast in the district.

According to Elections Canada, results in three other ridings are currently being recounted.
