China's Xueersi launches new smart learning tablet with dual AI model

Chinese education technology firm Xueersi unveiled a new generation of smart learning devices featuring enhanced AI capabilities and expanded educational content, as part of its push to reshape the country's smart learning landscape.
The company introduced three new product lines — the P, S, and T series — with a focus on integrating what it calls the combination of good AI and content to deliver a more personalized and efficient learning experience.
At the core of the upgrade is a dual large language model architecture combining Xueersi's proprietary Jiuzhang model with DeepSeek, enhancing the devices' ability to interact intelligently and analyze student performance in real time.
At the launch event, Zhao Puzheng, head of smart learning at Xueersi, said that its Jiuzhang model is among the first batch of education-focused LLMs approved by Chinese regulators.
Zhao said that the so-called "education trilemma" — the difficulty of achieving quality, scale, and personalization simultaneously — is facing the industry.
"Xueersi's mission is to use AI to break this deadlock. Smart learning means every child can have access to a one-on-one AI tutor tailored just for them," he said.
