Chengdu fashion brand stages plant dye exhibition in New York

Throughout the exhibition, which runs until May 5, visitors are invited to participate in indigo batik workshops led by UNESCO-recognized dye master and YUANJIA co-founder Wu Kaijian to make their silk scarves with traditional resist-dyeing techniques.
On May 4, the exhibition expands into a full day of cross-disciplinary programming under the theme Voyage In: A Talk on Architecture and Culture in New York City, inviting a group of writers, scholars, artists, and architects to explore themes of cultural nomadism, creative migration, and the building of alternative forms of community. That evening, the exhibition will culminate in Improv Night: Poetry, Music and Clothes, an improvised fashion-poetry-music performance featuring writers, artists, and their families as runway models.
