6 killed in New York helicopter crash
Six people, including a senior Siemens executive and his family, were killed when a sightseeing helicopter crashed into the Hudson River in New York. The crash on Thursday killed all those onboard the aircraft: the pilot and the family of Agustin Escobar, the CEO of a unit under global tech firm Siemens. Two of the victims were initially taken to a hospital, but later succumbed to their injuries. The NBC4 channel reported that its own helicopter was unable to take off because of weather conditions and the thick cloud cover over New York.

Yoon Suk-yeol leaves presidential residence
Former South Korean president Yoon Suk-yeol returned to his private home on Friday from the official residence after his removal from office, with crowds of supporters turning out to greet his motorcade. The Constitutional Court upheld Yoon's impeachment earlier this month, capping four months of unprecedented constitutional turmoil after his short-lived attempt to impose martial law in December sent shockwaves through the nation. South Korea will now hold a snap election on June 3. Some 280 police officers were deployed around his private home on Friday ahead of the move, media reported.
