Premier calls for stabilizing foreign trade, speeding up building of new advantages
Premier Li Qiang has called for steadfast confidence and innovative approaches to stabilize foreign trade and accelerate the building of new advantages in high-level opening-up, during his three-day fact-finding tour to Fujian province.
From Tuesday to Thursday, Li visited companies in Quanzhou, Shishi and Xiamen that are involved in sports, foreign trade services, cross-border e-commerce public services, airline maintenance and repair, and internet technology.
During the inspection, Li also chaired a symposium with foreign trade enterprises and heard speeches from eight entrepreneurs. He highlighted the need to expand opening-up and seize opportunities to address challenges.
Efforts should be made to vigorously explore diversified markets, actively innovate trade channels and methods, and enhance product competitiveness, he added.
Li urged governments at all levels to strive to provide better policy support and development environments for private enterprises.
Top political adviser meets with Cambodian King, Queen Mother in Beijing
China's top political adviser Wang Huning met with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and his mother, former Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, in Beijing on Thursday.
Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, called China and Cambodia ironclad friends who share weal and woe and help each other. The leaders of the two countries have jointly led the building of a China-Cambodia community with a shared future into a new era of high quality, high level and high standards.
China is ready to make joint efforts with Cambodia to maintain high-level exchanges, enhance strategic mutual trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, enhance governance experience exchanges, and push for new and greater progress in building a China-Cambodia community with a shared future, Wang said.
Noting that the bilateral friendship was cultivated by the older generation of leaders of both countries, Sihamoni and Monineath expressed their gratitude to the Chinese side for its selfless assistance to Cambodia.
Speaking highly of China's major concepts and initiatives to Cambodia, Sihamoni and Monineath said that the Cambodian side adhered to the one-China principle, would deepen practical cooperation with China in various fields, and join hands to build a Cambodia-China community with a shared future.

China's top anti-graft official Li Xi has called on discipline inspection and supervision authorities to step up their work to promote full and rigorous governance of the Communist Party of China.
Li, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, made the remark during a four-day visit to Jiangxi province starting on Monday.
Discipline inspection and supervision authorities should adhere to people-centered values and keep tackling corruption that occurs at people's doorsteps, in order to boost the sense of fulfillment, happiness and security among the people, he emphasized.
