N J Ayuk, founder and executive chairman of the African Energy Chamber told China Daily in an exclusive interview that Chinese investors are playing a key and critical role in Africa's energy sector.

"I'll tell you this: this small Chinese company in Congo is providing clean cooking technologies across Africa. Instead of Africans cutting trees to cook, now they're using modern cooking technologies that are cleaner and better, saving lives and protecting women's health," he said. He describes the relationship between Africa and China as "peanut butter and jelly" while calling for more Chinese investment in Africa.
